When I say "cold smoke" I referring to the kind of snow that you can blow away without using any effort - like it isn't even there. That's the type of snow that fell here last night and I'm going to try to get up and see what this new snow is doing for our surface conditions. The one thing I'm going to be sure of, is to bundle up, as the foreacast is calling for some chillly temperatures over the next several days, check this out:
Sat 1/13 | Sun 1/14 | Mon 1/15 | Tue 1/16 | Wed 1/17 | |||||||
High Temp. | 14 | 18 | 19 | 23 | 28 | ||||||
Low Temp. | 4 | -3 | 2 | -5 | 4 |
BRRRRRR, stay warm and be sure to watch for any spots or flecks of white on exposed skin, particularly on your cheeks, nose, ears, fingers and toes. Your best tips are to dress in layers, stop in regularly at one of our on-mountain restaraunts to warm up and try to keep your clothing from getting wet. Here's a good frostbite instruction sheet if you want further information. Bundle up out there and have fun!
Do you know when Jonesey's will be finished, I am super excited to see what it will be like this year.

I just spoke w/our Jim, and he's hoping to have the upper jumps on Jonesy's open by this Friday or Saturday with a slew of features to follow soon after.

Best be careful. I think "cold smoke" is a Bridger trademark :-).

Eric replies:
They can keep it, because it's got to be freakin' cold out for the snow to be like this, but the turns were still awfully nice... ;)
