When is the last time you went snow tubing? The answer is probably a million years ago when you were a child and snow tubing meant dragging some sled apparatus up a steep hill after a big snowstorm and zooming down over and over again. Well tubing has gone 2.0 and Gorgoza Park, the biggest tubing hill in Utah, has lift served tubing (that’s right, no pulling your own tube up the hill!) with seven groomed lanes for beginners and advanced tubers. Not sure what type of tuber you are? Well, come test your skills over the holidays. I went to Gorgoza Park last season for the first time and had the BEST time and cannot wait to go this winter. I thought it was just for kids, but it is definitely a thrill for us older folks. You go fast and I found out that I’m an advanced tuber for sure!
For the younger kids, there is mini-snowmobiling around a track and Fort Frosty, a tubing carousel. It's a winter playground for the entire family! Gorgoza Park has extended hours for the holidays and is open from 10 am to 8 pm and it’s lighted so a night adventure is even more thrilling. It’s an easy 5-10 minute drive from Park City, located on the I-80 frontage road at 3863 West Kilby Road. Check out www.GorgozaPark.com for directions and prices. Your kids, and well you, have never had so much fun.

what is the hold up on king crown, or any of the other terrain parks
Paula replies: Hi Flen, the Terrain Park crew has been working around the clock and we'll be opening Jonesy's and the Eagle Superpipe on Thursday, December 25. Pick N' Shovel is already open. King's Crown should be coming along soon...stay tuned to the pcride.com blog for more updates. Happy Holidays!

I don't know about that last point. I've had my share of fun on the skiing slopes :-)
Two questions/comments: is Gorgoza owned or just referred by PCMR? I keep seeing ads for it all over the screens at the bottom of Payday and Silverlode.
Second -- great job on opening up so much new terrain, all the red jackets are working hard and I thank for guys for that. There also seems to be a lot more poaching going on, at least from my view on the chair.
Happy holidays and looks like we've got a storm tonight!

Paula replies: Thanks Pacer521! Our team has worked incredibly hard to open more than 90% of our lifts. We look forward to getting the last of our terrain open as soon as it is safe for our guests. The poaching is not something we take lightly as we work hard to ensure everyone's safety. Gorgoza Park is operated by Park City Mountain Resort and owned by our parent company, Powdr Corp. Happy Holidays! Enjoy the new snow that's coming our way!!

I like the blog more when it is advertisement free. To see new openings and get stoked on the snow. Not learn how I should give you more money.
Paula replies: Hey Sam, sorry to hear that you didn't like my post. I actually really love tubing at Gorgoza Park and I hope families that are reading the blog will find out about it and have the opportunity to visit. Just spreading the love. Happy Holidays!
