New Year's Day morning on Pinecone

For New Year's Day 2008, I had the distinct pleasure of getting up and onto the mountain at 6am, along with several members of the snow safety team here at PCMR. We took a snowcat up to the Summit Patrol building where the guys stocked up on charges and then we continued on up to Pinecone Ridge where many, many charges where tossed and several slides were triggered.

I figured that I would make take another stab at movie making as well, so here's my 'opus' to the snow safety team, in particular to Colin, Dave and Mark for allowing me to tag along. Here's to their hard work that allows the rest of us to get in great skiiing and riding!

Nice work Dennis . We watch the Pine cone slid very cool. Also congrats to Hutch and his dog good work.

Eric replies:
Thanks!

thanks for the work you guys do. pinecone was awesome and so was the weather. you should tell dasani or someone to drop off some bottled water at the top there, i would have paid like 20 bucks for one after the first hike of the year.
here's my own video of the ride down, it's a bit lame but whatever

Eric replies:
Adam, glad you enjoyed the great conditions up on Pinecone yesterday, I think your video shows how good the skiing and riding was - particularly when you get the faceshot that covers most of the camera lens!

Nice vid. Looking forward to getting up on Pinecone!

Eric replies:
Thanks, it's a pretty good hike, but well worth it on a day like today!
